“The company has compiled a list of every single online abuse I’ve ever received. It’s literally tons of A4 pages over a period of just three months. The volume is colossal! When I look at the scale of it, it’s not easy at all. I’m willing to accept reasonable criticism, because that’s part of the territory…” she explained. “But when I stumble upon these vicious personal attacks, it really upsets me. The point of this process is for people who insult, threaten and harass me to receive warning letters and have their accounts blocked. I want to show them that this behaviour will not be tolerated. And if it works, I’ll be happy to explain the full course of action I’ve taken.” Bullo has been outspoken about the toxic culture of online abuse that female athletes often face, using her platform to demand accountability and real consequences for those responsible.
